IC Information:
Name: Kaname Madoka ; Madoka Kaname
Fandom: Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Timeline: Timeline Five as Godoka.
Age: Fourteen.

Appearance:
Physical:
Madoka has bubble-gum pink hair tied up in pigtails with a reddish-pink ribbon tying them up. Her eyes are a soft, and deep pink that seem to always accentuate her kindness; she almost always has a smile on her face, whether it be tired, or genuine. She has a fairly clear, and peach-ish complexion and often carries a fine dust of blush on her cheeks. Her height is roughly less than 150cm (4'11''), and she sits at a very slim, and skinny medium.

Outfits:
Madoka, in this final timeline, has been seen in about four outfits
The most common one would be her school uniform which is tan in color with a giant reddish bow on her neck. The top is long-sleeved with cufflinks at the ends, a little cute bow placed on her back where her hips adjoin in the center. A pleated skirt, long white knee-socks, and brown loafers finish the look. It gives off a private-school air while not being too classy. A tell-tale originality piece is a small open loop at the top back of her neck. For visual reference, here.

The outfit you see her rarely in would be her pajamas. The consistency of cuteness still comes in this outfit as it's a yellowish color for the inside with a matching top and pants. A lacy-tied bow sits near her neck as the bottoms and tops of the shirt are designed a little frilly-like. On top of this, she wears a murky pink-ish jacket that seems loose with a lighter pink where the buttons go down the middle. For reference, here.

Sometimes, she goes without the jacket and her hair varies from being all the way down to a high pony-tail w/ bangs.

As for the other two outfits, another common one would be her magical girl outfit which she sketched in this Timeline at least once, has been seen in it for the other multiple time-lines, and wore it once at the end of Timeline Five. It's your typical magical girl outfit with pink, and white in a hearty amount. From the top, she  has her regular pigtails only with a bigger, and thicker ribbon that looks likes giant bows on other sides of her head. Going down, she has a red ribbon tied around her neck with the bow being on the nape of it (also a heart shape on the back of her dress right between her shoulder blades), and just below that is her soul gem shaped like an oval, attached mysteriously on the crevice of her collarbone. Her dress is done entirely with lace trailing down the bodice (the bodice is a chalky yellow with pink on the outside; buttons going down), and bows on the side of her waist, which leads out the skirt end of the dress. At the top of her arms are puffs that conjoin then spread in a frilly manner with a pink over-tone underneath that end a little above the beginning of her forearm. Spread like flower petals, the bodice fabric crosses over the top layer of a white skirt-like application. Underneath this, many a petticoat lie within, making it puff like a round balloon, and it is so thick that nothing can be seen but her small legs. For the end of this dress, frills are apparent.

For her hands, she wears gloves that have a red ribbon wrapped around her wrist to lead out the rest of the glove fabric is a spiking pattern. Her shoes are red with a small heel, a bow on the back of her feet, and have an overlapping 'x' on he front of her shoes. Underneath that, she has simple white knee socks that have frills at the top. Her weapon seems to be a giant bow made of pink flowers, and growing wood. For reference to follow along, click here.

Last but not least, her outfit after completing her wish to save humanity. It's regal and grand, and big in every way. Her hair is not short anymore, but has grown to a measurable size, but the hair in her pig-tails seem to be the same length; her bows are now white instead of pink. For the rest, it transcends far beyond her body, and floats in an ethereal manner. Her eyes are a pure gold now. Her dress starts with a white ribbon around her neck, continuing to a jacket that seems to only wraps her breasts (it has a small red crystal where the jacket conjoins once), and flows down into a pink and white mixture, flowing and graceful. The rest of the dress continues from underneath this jacket straight down till it makes a 'v' line at her waist, then spreads short and slightly wavy/frilly at the top of her thighs, but the back opens out into a size bigger than herself, floating just like her hair is. It has many frills and folds with the last inside fabric being a incredibly light pink; when looking inside her dress (as it is very big), you can see a drop-back of the universe as though it is a portal into one. It is not a cut-out fabric, but actual universe with stars, and galaxies. (this can be seen anywhere inside her dress).

There are white socks that trail up to about mid-thigh, and shoes differ. It's a heel which sometimes has wings on them. They are white and simple; wings can be seen that are gloriously big, and tinted pink at the tips of them protruding from her back. Reference.

For the a_facility, it was planned to have her retain her ability to change back into her school girl/magical girl forms as this is easier to manage.
 Abilities:
She is a magical girl, and therefore has the power to use her bow as an energy source to explode with power. As for her God-like being, she re-wrote the universe and reserves the power to be a transcendent God. She knows what mostly goes on, but cannot interact with some worlds as she is on a higher plane of universes now. She still wields her bow and arrow, and is still the most powerful magical girl that ever lived.

Another key point to mention would be her ability to destroy and create universes

Personality:
In the beginning, when she didn't have the Magical Girl ability, she was a very weak-minded person. She had constant self-esteem issues that didn't necessarily get in the way of her life, but were still pretty apparent with the lack of hope she had for herself. This is proven through Time-line Five with her uneasiness at a wish, and the almost making of one in order to finally be of some 'use' to other people, as she viewed herself with no amazing qualities. She was kind, and sweet, but a teenager riddled with reoccurring self-lowering.

She needed acceptance which suggests the reason why she often adds prefixes that make it seem like she is closer to someone than she actually is. Ex. 'Chan'. For her low self-esteem, it could possibly be the need to become someone powerful like her mother is, as she is a very strong figure in Madoka's life. She accepts others, and hopes to be accepted in return but doesn't necessarily expect a lot in return for her kindness.

In all time-lines where she became a Magical Girl before Homura could stop her from making the wish, she seemed proud and confident of herself which proves itself that once she becomes a magical girl, she herself gains the boost she needs to fully appreciate herself. It gives her a sense of direction, a path to follow in order to make herself feel worth-it. It's an early sign of her need to help others in every way possible.

Madoka is an optimistic person with a lot of humanitarian traits such as believing the good in others even if they are not a lot of evidence surrounding it. Her general like for humankind makes her happy to help, happy to love, and happy to support. She is incredibly loyal to her friends as she travels through her life, and this is shown through each time-line, including when she tries to save her best friend, Sayaka, after she becomes a witch in Time-line's three and five.  But due to her caring so much, and trusting people so much, she was a very naive and sensitive girl before she became Godoka.

She believes in honesty, and family. The things she cherishes the most always stay close to heart in every situation she brings herself in. By the time she became Godoka, her self resolution to sacrifice made her mature in a phenomenal manner. She held an adult aura when she was seen as her God self, and even seemed motherly towards Homura when she was crying. It is pretty much her finding herself, her purpose, and knowing what she needed to do in order to save the world she loved. (She found herself growing up in a lot of ways, finding herself in the most unexpected circumstances).

In an added note, since Madoka does not like people to suffer or worry, she often hides her own feelings to save others around her. Example of this behavior is scattered throughout the time-line, but can be most proven in her Character Song 'See You Later' where she expresses the knowledge that even though she says she will see them later, she will not in actuality and expresses her loneliness in small intervals. She knows what she had to do, but tries to reassure people with kindness, even if it might be a lie.

All in all, Madoka is a kind, caring, sweet, sacrificial, and courageous person who protects her own, and wants happiness for everyone; one who cannot stand cruelty and is a beacon for life, and hope.

"If someone says that it's wrong to hope, I will tell them they're wrong every time."

History:
Madoka Kaname has been through a series of time-lines which all have different stories, and almost the same ending for most. For a reference sheet to follow along, it is provided here.

Madoka was brought into the world by her mother, Junko Kaname, and her father, Tomohisa Kaname on October 3rd. She was then raised normally, and a couple of years later, her mother soon births her little brother, Tatsuya, who is age three around the time she is fourteen. They all live a pretty happy existence with the mother hard-working while the father stays home to cook, clean, and be a stay-at-home husband. Her younger brother goes to kindergarten in the mean time. Her mother is a strong female figure in her life.

Time-Line One:
Around the time of her being fourteen, she soon became a magical girl with the help of Kyubey (a cat looking creatures granting wishes in exchange for magical girls), and her recent friend, Mami-san. They soon began to fight witches together, generally spending time with one another while getting to know each other. Madoka, around this time-line, seems confident, and incredibly happy. Which bleeds into when she finally meets Akemi Homura.

Madoka is incredibly kind to Homura since she was a new student who came in a little bit after she became a magical girl. She was light-hearted and talked to Homura about how she liked certain things about her. They met again, after the first day of school. Homura was walking home when she suddenly was caught up in a witch. Homura, defenseless and horribly confused, almost died. But Madoka and Mami-san busted in and began to take down the witch, saving Homura in the process.

Afterwards, Homura talks to Madoka and Mami-san, questioning their profession choice to which Madoka comments that she is scared, and it isn't always alright but she's glad to help people. They then go on to talk about the Walpurgis Night coming and they need to prepare for the very big fight. It is good to note that it was one week before she met Homura that she became a magical girl.

At the end of this time-line, Madoka is seen standing and looking wistfully at Walpurgis, as Mami-san lies on the ground , dead. Homura attempts to coax Madoka from fighting and ultimately killing herself in the process, but Madoka won't listen, insisting upon her good instincts that she must. That she must protect everyone, and uphold her righteous duty as a Magical Girl. It then cuts out, and she is found dead. Homura, becoming a magical girl, rewinds time in order to save, and protect Madoka.

Time-Line Two:
Madoka is still a magical girl by the time Homura re-meets up with her, and is still acquainted with Mami-san. The three of them train and fight against the witches until they all begin to prepare for Walpurgis Night again. All of them seem pretty optimistic about it.

After fighting Walpurgis Night, Mami-san is presumed dead but Madoka is still alive along with Homura. As Madoka lies on the watery-ground, she begins to cry out in pain. It turns out that Madoka's soul gem had become too corrupted, and blackened that it cracked and she became a witch. Homura, after seeing this, goes back in time to try and save/protect Madoka again.

Time-Line Three:
Madoka, Homura and Mami-san apparently team up with another member called Sayaka Miki, and also meet Kyouko Sakura. Though Kyouko does not seem to be part of their team yet as Sayaka refers to her with hostilitiy. Madoka seems normal, and is still a peace-maker, telling everyone to stick together and for friends not to turn on friends when Sayaka reviews Homura with wariness when she tries to warn them about Kyubey's trick.

Later on, Sayaka has turned into a witch for whatever reason and the whole gang, even Kyouko, are trying to find something of the old Sayaka in the witch. It fails, of course, and after safely dispatching of the witch, they all stop and sit around, feeling pretty banged up. Madoka comments on the cruelty of the situation, but before anyone can really say more, Mami-san shoots Kyouko's soul gem, causing her to die.

Mami-san seems to be under a psychotic break, taking aim at Homura, but before she can fire, Madoka decides quickly to shoot an her arrow through Mami-san's soul gem, causing her to die. Feeling immensely stressed by everything going on, she cries hard and long while Homura tells her that they should pull through this together. Madoka agrees solemnly.

After defeating it both together, they are seen lying down in the same watery ground with both of their soul gems tainted and blackened. Homura asks Madoka if there are any grief seeds left, but she shakes her head; Homura then goes on to weakly make the situation seem a little better than it is, talking about not making the world sad anymore by destroying it as witches.

Before she can finish, Madoka pulls out a grief seed, apparently lying about not having one. She then sacrifices herself, and uses it to cleanse Homura's grief seed. Madoka then asks Homura to go back in time, and try to convince Madoka not to become a magical girl (to not be fooled). Homura agrees, and Madoka soon undergoes extreme pain, on the process to becoming a witch.

She then asks a final request of Homura, telling her she does not want to become a witch again; she wants to not become one because she wants to protect the world she loves. At this, Homura turns into a magical girl and presumably shoots Madoka's soul gem, mercy killing her. She then goes back in time to try to save her once more.

Time-Line Four:
Madoka does not get the chance to become a magical girl this time because Homura stops it before it can happen. Homura then tells her not to trust anything, or anyone promising magical things. She leaves, and Madoka is generally confused. And since Madoka did not become a magical girl, she did not become friends with Mami-san.

Skipping to Walpurgis Night, Madoka watches as Homura attempts to defeat it on her own. She gives it her best shot, but as Madoka watches from below, Madoka soon worries that Homura may not be able to win, and may die in the process. This is when Kyubey begins to coax her into becoming a magical girl, telling her how she has enough potential to save Homura, and everyone else. Before she makes the deal, she looks incredibly determined.

Madoka becomes the biggest witch known to all the magical girls after killing Walpurgis Night in one hit, capable of destroying the entire planet. Homura has lost again, and soon goes back in time to prevent any of this from happening.

Time-Line Five (incredibly long; best to skim):
Madoka wakes up from a dream in the beginning of this time-line, the dream consisting of what happened at the end of Time-Line Four. She finds this dream odd, and goes about her day, making it known that she is friends with Sayaka, and another girl with green hair who is not necessarily important. They arrive at school, and are all talking when Homura walks in as a transfer student.

Madoka is shocked at the very least that she remembered Homura from her dream, and feels awkward. To put on top of that, Homura takes notice of her directly, sending her cold stares which doesn't help her uneasiness and low self-esteem. After class is over, Homura goes over and asks Madoka to go somewhere with her in the intentions of convincing Madoka in subtle ways to not contract with anyone. Telling her how important she is, and if she cares about those loved ones, she wouldn't do anything stupid.

Later that day, or the day after, Madoka and Sayaka go out to a store where she hears Kyubey calling for her to help him. Madoka, confused, travels to where the voice is heard and follows it by herself. She then finds Kyubey and confronts Homura in confusion because she was obviously trying to kill it. Sayaka then comes over, throwing something at Homura in an attempt to run from Homura.

As they are running, they both enter a witch's place. They are confronted by little witch monsters but are saved by Mami-san. Afterwards, they are guided to safety by her and Kyubey goes on to explain that he would like for them to make a contract with him.

Madoka and Sayaka, the day after, go with Mami-san on a witch hunt in order to kill it and save a young woman. They are both going to get a feel of what it is like to be a magical girl, and the price they pay in order to constantly fight witches. These include no social life, etc. Mami-san does not know about the other implications of being a magical girl. (It is also discovered what the Grief Seeds do: they clear out a corrupted Soul Gem as inferred to above).

The next time they go with Mami-san to fight a witch, it ends terribly. Mami-san, over-confident in her abilities due a chat earlier with Madoka (revealing Madoka might actually become a magical girl in order to be useful), dies in the process by getting her head bitten off. She is then consumed by the witch. Sayaka and Madoka sit there in fear and shock but Homura comes to their rescue and saves them, using this traumatizing event to save Madoka from completing a contract.

Madoka, through the next couple of days, finds herself reluctant, and even mortified at the thought of becoming a magical girl. She shows fear, and wariness when asked by Sayaka about it, but carries on throughout the days even though Mami-san's death affected her. She is seen crying in Mami-san's empty apartment, lamenting on her inability to act, and save her.

After this, she has a conversation with Homura about her gratefulness to which Homura warns her that kindness may not always be a good thing. Madoka is confused by the coldness Homura treats her with, but doesn't necessarily question it. Later that day, Madoka notices her green haired friend walking towards an undisclosed area, acting strangely to which she notices a 'witch's kiss' on her neck. Madoka has no way to contact any person and pursues her friend.

Upon arriving, she notices more people are around. They are attempting a mass suicide by mixing ammonia, and bleach. She throws it out in an attempt to save around, but is soon trapped and cornered in a room, crying out for someone to help her. Madoka then gets sucked into a witch's place again, helpless while multiple screen of the witch show her insecurities. She almost gets killed, but Sayaka (who made the contract), saves her.

Tensions rise between Sayaka and Kyouko as they are introduced with differing beliefs in the way of magical girls. Madoka still stays on the nicer side, believing in the goodness while trying to help Sayaka. She almost makes a contract to stop them from fighting, but Homura steps in once more to stop them. She tells Madoka not to get involved and to give up on Sayaka.

For the next couple of days, Madoka tries unsuccessfully to soothe Sayaka who is spiraling deeper and deeper into depression, not understanding her situation. She always tries to stop the fights that arise between Sayaka and Kyouko but is at a loss of what to do. Around this time, in an attempt to stop them from fighting to the death, Madoka apologizes and throws Sayaka's Soul Gem off the bridge onto a truck driving away.

Sayaka passes out, presumably dead, while Madoka stares confused and begins to cry. Homura gets the Soul Gem back, and Sayaka revives but now everyone knows that their bodies are nothing but shells, and their whole life is actually in the Soul Gem. This, of course, makes it more unlikely for Madoka to seal a deal with Kyubey. This whole event spurns the imminent corruption of Sayaka.

Madoka has one more bout with almost giving in, but Homura stops her again, shooting Kyubey. She then breaks down in front of Madoka, telling her to worry about the people who care about her. Madoka has the sense that she's met Homura before but runs off because she needs to find Sayaka. But by this point, Sayaka is a self-destructive mess, and soon becomes a witch.

Madoka and Kyouko try to get Sayaka to come out much like a time-line before but it does not work, and Madoka is torn apart by the fact that she's lost her dear old friend (Kyouko is dead). Before, when she just discovered Sayaka's death, she broke down pitifully. After this, it is now known why Madoka is so strong each time she transforms into a magical girl. Since Homura is constantly tying multiple time-lines to her fate, Madoka has had her karma grow stronger thus making her ability grow stronger.

Kyubey reveals what it is, and its purpose to the world, which is to collect energy. (He is from a planet with a bunch of creatures just like him who don't necessarily feel anything. "Emotion is a mental disorder"). Madoka learns about all of the magical girls throughout the worlds, and laments on how they were deceived into making their decisions. But Kyubey shows how sure it is in Madoka making her decision and how she would be the strongest magical girl, and the worst witch. Madoka seemingly falls into a sort of depression for the night.

The night before Walpurgis Night, Homura reveals her true feelings about Madoka to which Madoka cannot reciprocate because she is too confused to be able to. She still feels a connection, and is worried about her well-being.  Homura tells Madoka she can handle this witch alone, and while not necessarily believing her, Madoka backs off. The next night, a storm is brewing and Walpurgis Night is on the horizon.

Homura attempts to defeat it once more, but fails. Beforehand, Madoka is on her way to Homura after confronting her mother in doing the right thing and saving everyone. She tells her mom to trust her, and that she's always been a good girl. Her mother lets her go.

Homura sits in the rubble, feeling quite defeated when Madoka comes over, and holds her, telling her it must have been hard, and that she had such a great friend. She is very comforting. Kyubey is along side of her, and Homura is confused. (At this point, Homura's Soul Gem begins to become dirty in her hopelessness). She then stands up after holding Homura, and stands in front of Kyubey, about to make her wish.

She makes the wish to "stop all witches from the past, present, and future, to erase them before they are born by her own hand, a wish made possible due to the massive power inside of her." Kyubey comments on how this would essentially be making her God but Madoka doesn't necessarily seem to care about this comment. Without further ado, her wish is granted, and as she becomes a magical girl, she shoots an arrow up into the sky and in each arrow that falls around the space-time continuum, it is her in them, saving magical girls from all time.

After this is done, Madoka defeats Walpurgisnacht but in return, her soul gem houses the biggest witch ever made from the magical girl witches. Homura is transported to an empty piece of rock out in space as Madoka appears to kill the witch which sprouted from her soul gem. As she destroys it, the screen goes blank and Madoka and Homura are seen floating in universe like atmosphere.

It is explained that since Madoka erased her own Soul Gem and Witch that she destroyed her entire existence and no longer exists in the world she used to live in. It is also said that she cannot interact at all with her world, but instead, can watch over it (no one will remember her though). Essentially as a God.  When Homura finds out about this, she becomes saddened and clings to Madoka as Madoka reassures her, and expresses kind feelings towards her dearest friend.

Madoka comments that she will always be there, watching over Homura as Homura will remember Madoka even after Madoka disappears from her. She gives her friend her hair ribbons in the hopes that she will never be forgotten, and then vanishes into star particles to go on another plane of living.

Roleplay Sample - Log:
She couldn't see in front of her even when blocks of white and black stood stark in the distance. Her distorted vision made her tremble a little causing her feet to catch on random crevices; these trips echoed against the grandness of the empty hallway. Even with this, she swallowed a lump of something bitter, and continued on without a single pause from there. Because if she did, she was afraid she wouldn't have the courage to keep going.

But she needed to know what was going to happen to Homura. Even if she was alright, the sky did not suggest the thought of it. The turmoil in the clouds called for something different last time she checked, and she found herself called to look for Homura. She felt her friend was in danger, so she rushed to help, rushed to defend, or perhaps to understand the situation that had been woefully placed on Homura. She just couldn't wrap her mind around it, and blindly she charged!

Up the stairs which wound, and bounded till her breath was in quick pants, and her mind was a race of messy substances called worry, and confusion. The clacking of her shoes on the marble made everything seem surreal while, more so, the patterns of the place she was in descended her deeper into some form of euphoric confusion. Panting, she continued onward and a giant door appeared before her; mustering up enough courage, she pushed it open with a  gasp and a giant swoop of air collected into her lungs.

It was destruction and madness against one magical girl, and the cruelty of it shocked her system.

Roleplay Sample - Journal:
[ a young girl with pink hair, and a nervous disposition stands with the berry; her smile is twitching and trying to be decently warm.]

Is anyone there? If anyone is, I would love to know what's going on!

[of course, her worry is blatantly obvious, but she's still a sweet sugary person in her atmosphere; she looks surprised for a moment]

Oh, goodness, I forgot to tell you my name!

[her smile widens, and genuine warmth spreads around her, eyes twinkling]

My name is Kaname Madoka! I'm just a simple girl but if anyone would like to let me know what's going on, please feel free to! I would like to believe I'm a nice person, so no harm will be done.

[her eyes are soft - end]

This game includes horrible mental and physical torture of your character. After reading the rules/faq for clarification, how do you expect your character to handle this and continue to function?
I believe that, after seeing countless atrocities around the world due to the things that happened to Magical Girls, she'll find the threat of torture a little less over-whelming than she should. As for the pain part, if not in her Godoka state, I assume she would not handle physical torture very well, and may become weak-minded for a couple of days, or more.

If it is to protect someone, she will do it willingly as sacrifice is a very strong part of her personality, and being. But Madoka will always move on because she always feels the need to project happiness, and protection to everyone, and will fight through the pain with an understanding, and motherly manner. Her kindness will essentially push her forward.

Questions? Comments? Crazed and creative statements? Those go here.
